I have a 2003 Triton 173 Sport that came with a Lowrance X51 fish finder on it that is not functioning properly. When I power up the unit the screen flashes until it completely boots up but nothing is visible on the screen. The menu buttons beep when depressed. I can also hear the transducer clicking. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Transducers are not supposed to "click", at least good ones.
Try disconnecting the transducer to see what happens.

If disconnecting the transdcuer doesn't have an affect, you most likely have a bad display or video processor.

I know on my transducer it says not to power it in open air or damage can result. Must be submerged in water
