Lowrance X-85 fish finder

I have just found a Lowrance x-85 fish finder for sale locally for $40. Was just wondering if it is worth that. Don't plan on fishing much but would like it more for depth readings. Seller says it works good. Thanks.

Old Coward, does this fish locator come with the mounting bracket and power cables and transducer? If not, you could spend a lot of money buying those items making the $40 purchase price not so good... JMHO!

If it's all there that is a good deal, they were a tried and true favorite for quite a few years. Be aware though, even if it is all there and works perfectly, be prepared for it to fail at any moment, it is close to 20 years old.

Yes everything is there. Speed/temp sensor, transducer, case and head unit. Says it all worked well when he removed it. He upgraded to a color unit with gps.
