I have the LMF 400 system, new this week. It is not used in conjunction with a GPS nor Sonar display. There a NMEA 2000 power connection to the network backbone.
However, there are yellow and blue wires coming from the back on the LMF that don't connect to the NMEA system. A picture in the manual says they are "piezo" leads and give a polarity. However, they are not mentioned in the manual. I am not comfortable connecting these to the boat's power terminals without some explanation as to their use or a wiring diagram. I called the Lowrance help desk and didn't get a warm fuzzy and not confident explanation.
There is a separate set of leads to connect to the dash lights.
Any insight into this is appreciated.
Thanks, Mike
