Lowrance HDS 7 or HDS 7 Gen II??

Wholesale Sports has the HDS 7 on sale but how do I tell if its a Gen II model?

You don't. It has to say Gen II to be one. I have the 8 first Generation and it's fine for what I do. I have all the add ons also. Structure Scan is amazing and the Sonic Hub is awesome. I also have mine interfaced with my SmartCraft system. Everything I need is at my fingertips. Remembering how to use it all is my only problem.

I have two hds-7 and wish now that I waited for the Gen II but thats what they do!lol Either one is a good product, like already said, the Gen II will say Gen II on it.

Thanks for the tip.
I can't tell by the stock photo on the internet so I may have to call and ask.
Even the pics on the Lowrance stite don't say Gen II.

I've called wholesale sports and they don't seem to know if these are gen 1 or 2. He thinks they look the same for some reason.
I am going to email Lowrance and figure this out.
