Hi all,

I have purchased a new lowrance hdi 7 fish finder. When I mounted the transducer to the troling motor and when the troling motor is working I am getting a lot of chatter on the screen. As soon as I turn it off completley the picture gets clear.

Anything I can do to make this better? As of right now when the troling motor runs even in the lowest setting the sonar and downscan are imposible to read

Thanks
Zipp

Re: Lowrance HDI7 transducer issue

Call Lowrance. One of the members had a noise problem with a Humminbird and HB sent a new cable with a noise reduction choke on it. Lowrance may have a similar program. Lotsa xducers are mounted on TMs. You dropped more than a couple of bucks on a 7" HDI unit, expect support from Lowrance and I've heard support is good and have experienced that first hand on a warranty exchange.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. Called lawrance and they told me to buy a faritte choke and reduce the sensitivity on the unit. Went to radioshack and got what I needed. Works as a charm.
Thanks
