Lowrance fish finder interference

I have a Lowrance Elite FS 9, I've just used it a few times now. The problem that I'm having is that I'm powering it on the same three 36 volt set of batteries that is running my trolling motor. Sometimes when I increase or lower the power on my trolling motor it will turn the screen on or off or reduce the brightness. I'm just wondering if there is a setting that will reduce this? Or is there any other ways to eliminate these interference issues? If not will I have to run the Elite FS 9 on a separate battery to fix this issue? I'm not sure why this happened recently because the first 3 days I ran it on the same 36 volt battery system and didn't have those interference problems. So I'm not sure why its now doing it. I am using a small set of battery clamps to connect it to the battery, I don't think this is the problem since I've been using them on another Lowrance fish finder for over 17 years but I'm not sure.
I'm considering getting one of the smaller 4 or 5 inch Duracell 12v batteries. If it will run it for 12 hours consecutively or longer, I'm not sure which one yet. Anyone know which one in that size range will run it for that long?

I suspect your experiencing voltage fluctuations getting close to the limitations of the instrument.

My first question is how old are the batteries?
Have then been loaded tested recently?
Have you put a meter on your battery clips to observe the voltage(s) when these events occur?

"Interference" typically doesn't cause machines to turn off or dim displays.

Maybe...maybe not. Need to determine what the problem is.
Could just be a bad wire connection. Your "battery clamps" would be certainly be suspect in my book.

I've seen crazier things happen
Batteries less than fully charged?

Units these days are far more sensitive to voltage fluctuations in the past.

Current Draw x Hours Run = required AH........size accordingly

I can't believe I caught the flu at the end of May after getting a flu shot, I've been off line for a few days. I think I might have a connection that may have been sheered or is just barely connected. The batteries are just a couple of years old so I doubt its that. I'm hoping I don't have to get a fourth battery just to run a fish finder. If I decide to change the battery clamps to something else. What's the best option? Just the standard circle connections or is there anything else?
If I have to rewire the whole thing I'm just wondering if I should go with the heat shrink wire connectors or if there is a better option? Thanks for the advice I didn't know the new units are more sensitive.

Batteries are “good” until they aren’t….#1 rule in electronics troubleshooting….never assume anything.

I think I will try these
Connectors next.
Not a fan at all…

My recommendation, sized accordingly

Personally, I would wire a standard ring connector and use the connector at the unit as your quick connect
