Does the 110C software provide a serial link to a PC? Or are we stuck with taking out the memory card? I prefer not to continuously swapping the cards, the contacts will wear and door seal will be affected.

I've tried connecting my 110C to a PC and keep getting "Unable to Initialise GPS" or similar message. Tried several software with the same results.

The connections are correct, I am able to see nav data coming from the 110C, it seems the unit does not respond to control messages.

I have written to Lowrance some weeks ago, no reply yet.

i have a 3500C and never got the idea from reading the manual that it could transfer files to the SD card from a PC

All the serial port functions need to be configured from within the units submenus as to how the port functions ,speed ect

Re: Lowrance 110c to PC connection

Have tried all that. Tried all baud rates and different com ports. I am able to receive nav and autopilot data from the 110c.

I am trying to upload and download waypoint and route data, these requires the 110c to respond to request sentences from the PC (preparing waypoint and routes on a PC is far easier).

I wonder if the unit is not capable of this or uses a new protocol, The manual does not mention this feature, but I would expect this to be quite basic to chartplotters, basic handhelds are capable of this.

Best thing to do is call the manufacturer and just ask. They will give you the quickest answer.
