lower units for a 1972 mercury!!!

I believe that other 4 cyl lower units of the same era will fit, like the 500 and 800 and maybe 850, but I know for a fact that the 3 cyl 65hp will not fit. Someone here can confirm this.

Nates right except the 500 won't work, but some I/6 will, but would have a differant gear ratio
