lower unit yamaha f50 2001 four stroke water pump

The lower unit was removed easily. The water pump lower housing is cracked. Can this lower housing be removed easily? If so, should a Yamaha dealership mechanic do the work, or can an independent mechanic do it? What would a ballpark figure be to fix this?

there is no lower housing on that motor.
