lower unit trouble

I have changed the lower unit oil and noticed that there was water in the lower unit. I replaced the impellar, water pump seals and refilled with oil. I ran the motor with earmuffs and I went and checked the oil and there was a hint of water agian. Also when running I noticed that there was water exiting from the prop housing. Where should I be looking for water entering the LU with just using earmuffs. Is water supposed to exit the prop housing. I believe that there is exhaust in the prop area. 1972 115hp Merc. Often water enters the lower unit through the seal around the driveshaft under the water pump. The water you see coming out around the prop is probably coming through the exhaust cavity which is normal (and necessary).
