lower unit swap?

will the lower unit from an 88 merc in-line 6 115hp fit on a 79 140hp in-line 6......<br />or are the powerheads swapable???<br /><br />the 140 runs great but the lower unit is no good............and it is real cheep!!!!

LU will swap,would have to check thebase gasket to see about the powerhead.<br /><br />corm
