lower unit seal kit

Hello all, long time looker first time poster.I have a 73 Evinrude 25hp serial # 25352AE0002886 Im in the process of changing the impeller.<br />Is there such a thing as a lower unit seal kit for this motor? Or do i just need the gearcase kit?Any help would be great! Thanks

yes there is a lower unit sealkit. requires a complete dissasembly of the case. why do you need seals for a pump job?

Thanks for moving my post. Theres not a seal where the 2 cases bolt together? I assumed there was. Guess i assumed wrong? Thanks

If you mean between the lower unit and the mid-section, no there is no seal of any sort there. Actually, if you examine the lower unit you'll see little holes to let water into and out of that area.<br /><br />Good luck!
