lower unit oil????

have a '85 sea ray with twin omc 3.8L with 800 series lowers. i am thinking of running some Lucas gear lube in them. is there a difference between omc gear lube and others???? my thinking is that lucas has "tackifiers" and will better protect gears and bearings, and lucas will not mix with water. any thoughts???

use the OMC type oil. you actually want the oil to emulsify the water not stay seperate.
