lower unit oil

what would be the best information on a good all around lower unit oil. besides hpfxr from evinrude. i was considering the lucas brand gear oil but it is a 85-140w mixture. i know that it is normally a 90w oil but what about changing it to a synthetic blend and whatnot. i just want so opinions thanks

Wesley, i have been using, Walmarts Super Tech products for years. it is rated just like all the others. besure when you remove the drain and vent plugs, to install new seals. the are a one use item, and #1 place for water intrusion.
