Hi, Asking for some input. Working on a 1977, merc. 1150, 115hp, in line 6. boats was not in the water for 3 years. i drained the old lower unit oil, it was a little creamy. put in new oil. started engine and ran it in the drive way only ( making adjustments). decided to remove lower unit (water pump service). when i drained the oil it was very creamy. boat was not ran in the lake, just with "muffs" on. Can water get into the oil that way ? if so, any ideas on what the problem is ? and if so how to fix it ? Or im i looking at big money lower unit repair ? thanks g
