lower unit oil capacity

I was hoping someone out there would know what the oil capacity of the lower unit on a '94 force, 70hp motor might be. I've drained it and can't seem to find the owners manual to find out how much to pump back in.<br />Not much came out, about a 1/2 qt.. I pumped until new clear oil came out of the vent, about the same amount in as came out. i'm just not sure though.<br />Any help out there<br /><br />Nofish

If you pumped lube into the bottom fill until it came out the top vent, it's full. Put new gaskets or "o" rings, which ever is on them now, on the plugs and button 'er up.<br /><br />g'luck & c/6<br /><br />Hooty

They really don't hold very much.

Believe it or not, my manual says that the 70 and 75hp models only hold 12 ounces of oil.
