I searched through your forums and found that lubriplate 105 is what most people use in their older outboard in the same class as my 1953 Elgin 7.5 horse. But I was wondering if anyone would know if this would be a suitable sub.

I have a boat load of Royco 22 cf Mil spec grease. It's used in aviation as an all purpose grease. Mostly used in landing gear. It's not a big deal to go get a tube of the lubriplate, but if this grease will work just as well if not better, rock n' roll. Thanks!

Here is it's spec sheet:

If I was an engineer, I could read those specs and know something. Lacking that, let's just say that the Lubriplate 105 Motor assembly grease is just a bit too thick to pour. Probably thinner than what you are looking at? But would it work? Heck, I dunno. Those gearcases weren't exactly high tech, you know. As somebody around here likes to say, any grease is better than no grease.
