Can I use evinrude/johnson 2-cycle lower unit oil in my 25 4 stroke yamaha?

Any "Marine Lower Unit Lube" will work fine. Don't use automotive 80-90 gear lube because it doesn't contain special corrosion inhibitors that the marine lubes have. I buy the Walmart brand and it works fine and a bit less expensive. Good Luck!

No such thing as "2 cycle" lower unit lube.
All gear cases take "gear" lube of various types.

Whatever you do, do not put "2 cycle" outboard oil into the lower unit.
But you knew that already.
