lower unit leaking

I have 89 bayliner capri with 2.3l and i noticed the other day when it was in my driveway there was oil coming out 2 little holes on left hand side of the lower unit. what would cause this? Changed oil the other day and the one time i took it out the outdrive was making noise like it spun the bearing or something. brought it back in and noticed the oil 2 days later about half of a quart on ground.

you changed the oil in the engine or the drive?
what kind of drive do you have?

i changed oil in the drive. i noticed oil on the groung and it seemed to be coming out of 2 port holes on left side of drives by the water pickup screen. filled it up today and doesn't seem to leak right now. i have OMC cobra outdrive attached to a 2.3L ford motor.
