Lower Unit Leaking out Expansion Hole?

I have a 1969 Evinrude Big Twin 40 HP.
Recently had new seals installed in lower unit.
After taking the boat out twice on the reservoir all day and running the motor, there is a brown substance oozing just slightly out of a hole right below the cavitation plate.
It is not a constant flow but only caused when I drop the prop after I leave the lake and in the garage.
This hole is some kind of an expansion or checkoff hole.
I have unscrewed the bottom hole that drains the gear oil and the gear oil is not white and milky which would indicate the seals have failed.
The gear oil from the drain screw appears to be the original light brown color, so I do know what the source of the oozing oil is?

Does anyone have any ideas on what is leaking out of the expansion hole?
Is there an upper seal above the cavitation plate?????
Is this normal after changing the lower unit seals.?
Thanks for you r input.

My guess would be unburned 2 cycle oil coming down the exhaust. This usually drips out of the prop and is normal, but not sure of your model. Might want to move this to the right forum.

I agree. check th esmell. LU oil has a distinctive smell. This will be oily water you're seeing.

But i can't explain why a motor starts doing this.
