Lower Unit Interchange?

I'm wondering if the lower unit from a 1985 150 Johnson will fit a 1986 200 Johnson?

Looking under BRP's website there doesn't look to be that much of a difference to me.

Doesn't look to be that much difference by the pictures at least, the gear shift rod seal is different on the 85 compared to the 86.

Lets see what these other guys say, the worst thing is the 200hp wasn't made in 85 from what I have studied, they may have the same setup.

I noticed the same. But the pinion shaft and gearing is the same. I'd hate to buy this online and it won't bolt up.

You'll have to use the looper (1986 200) shift rod but other than that it's the same.
