Hi to all, this is my first post here.
I have a 1996 J150EXED and the owner's manual calls for Ultra HPF fluid for the lower unit. The guy at the parts counter said to use Hi Vis instead, that it was better. Can anyone tell me if it is ok and what the difference might be?

Thanks in advance and great site, wish I had found it sooner!

Re: Lower unit fluid

don't know the actual difference in the oil, but HPF stands for High Performace Formula.

i think Hi Vis, is so you can see the water better, if you have an intrusion. any grease us better than no grease.
