The gear case vent and drain plugs for LU grease are on the same side of the motor and look the same size. The plugs marked as vent and flush are for other uses. JMO

Here is the way it wurks.-------Oil is squeezed in the drain hole till it comes out the vent hole.----------Install vent plug then remove filler device and install drain plug.----------Motor in normal running position.---------This is the accepted way of filling lower units !!--------Please follow this procedure.----------The flush plug has to do with cooling water.

I suggest replacing your gaskets on the drain and the vent when you do this just for insurance, especially for the $5 in parts.
