Lower unit air leaking for chrysler 105HP 1978

Still no vids.

I assume the vids show bubbles at the prop shaft, drive shaft or shift shaft. If that's the case, new seals should fix it.

I checked only the air is from drive shaft. What kind of new seals kit can I buy it? How much is it? Is it easy to unmount the old one and mount the new seals? thank you

How much air pressure are using? It sounds like a compressor is running.

Is it possible that too much pressure led to the damage the gaskets of top cover seal? Now there is 5p because the pressure is down very quick, so I make the pressure machine is on.

Maximum pressure when checking LU is 15PSI.
I allways start at 10PSI and if it holds the pressure I increase to 12-15PSI.

Mastertech has seal kits for you engine.
If you have a 2 piece LU it is partnumber 1910 57,75 dollars.
If you have a 1 piece LU it is 1911 72,75 dollar.

This is aftermarket seal kits and contains all seals that neede to reseal the whole unit.
You can buy only the seal under the impeller housing and it will be much cheaper.

2 piece LU there is a split line just above the part that contains the gears.
In those years 1978-79 Chrysler changed from 2 piece LU into 1 piece LU for the range from 65Hp and up (3-4 cyl. engines).

Not difficult.
Get a factory manual or look on U-tube for a video.

Looking at a parts diagram can help getting it apart.

Just remember the metal is soft and you can damage it fairly easy.
Remember how the seal comes out so you can re-install the same way.
