Lower End Unit Water Stream?

Today, when I was flushing the engine as normal, I noticed a 2nd stream of water coming from the lower end unit. I've never seen water coming out of it, and I don't know if that's normal or not. My regular pisser still works without any issues. Attaching picture.

I had no issues on the water, and I'm in Florida.

It is a drain for a cavity to prevent freezing / cracking the gearcase.----Ok---You say you are in Florida.----When they built the motor they did not know if it was going to Florida or Alaska.

Thank you. Now, I wonder why I didn't see it before. Would it bad if the water wasn't flowing through it before? I just can't remember seeing it.
