Lower end oil

A quick question: Does anyone know how much oil is in the lower end of a 73 Johnson 115 hp? I know that it doesn't matter because of filling from below, but I have only 1 quart and it is a 120 mile round trip to buy more. I think that I need to go, but, if a quart is enough, I'll go when planned in a week or so. I have the FSM and it doesn't give an amount, just fill until it reaches the top hole, thanks in advance...Mark

Never mind all I found it: 27.9 ounces, thanks

The manual I have downloaded, from the boatinfo site gives all the gear case capacities for the models covered.

Yes 27.9 ounces is correct.

Thanks Vic, I had to look for it three times before I finally found it. I guess that I am getting old and know that I am going blind. At least I can git-r-done now without a long trip ...Mark
