Fished lower Beverly lake four days this past week. Just my luck that a major cold front blew in the day we got there, providing high winds and cold temps. The smallmouth we were after had a good case of Lockjaw. But we did find a pattern on the LM. The weather pushed them to deep flats. We ended up slaying a ton of good LM on drop shot rigs on the flats 20 deep. If we found a submerged rock pile here and there on the flats that was a bonus, holding multiple fish. Picked up a few smallmouth and add a few pike in the mix. All in all a good trip considering the weather. I normally don't have to fish in my goose hunting clothes till mid November. They got a work out early this year.
