I have a 2007 4 stroke electric start 9.9 Merc., it will only idle with the high speed idle engaged or if I constantly pump the choke. I took the carb apart and cleaned everything with carb cleaner. The high speed jet has a hole all the way through as well as side holes and the low speed jet has a hole in both ends however I couldn't see light through it or pass a fine wire through. Is the center hole supposed to go through the length of the jet or is there a blockage? Any help would be great.
Also, is there a tiny hole connecting the high and low speed idle chambers?

I contacted a friend who took apart a spare Merc carb and indeed there is a hole that passes all the way through the jet. I managed to clear this passage with carb cleaner and a stiff wire and the motor fired right up.
