Hi All.<br /><br />I have a 1986 Yamaha 90. Its red low oil warning light comes on when I hit a wave and then goes off and then comes on again. When I turn off the engine it is back to normal. The problem started when the boat took a huge dip when a tanker wave went by in SF Bay. It has been acting up ever since. <br /><br />I checked the oil container and it is three quarters full. Oil is used up at the normal rate as far as I can tell.<br /><br />I assumed that there must be a sensor or float in the container that is causing the low oil warning light to come on. So I took a wire and poked around the inside of the container hoping to work the float free and also clear the bottom oil outlet but as there is oil in there, I cannot see what I am doing. <br /><br />Anyone ever have this problem. Any suggestions on how to resolve it is appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks.<br /><br />Swan
