low idle high pitch hick-up

Hi, 1987 yamaha 50 ESHJD. She has been hickupping only at idle [a squeaky hick-up] and is worse when engine is cold. Is their a way to tell which cylinder is responsible? This sound stops with an additional 300-500 rpm's. Could disabled oil injection cause this? Runs fine otherwise.

Have you pulled & examined the plugs?

Yes, plugs have been ruled out.[new plugs]

Sounds to me your talking about "Lean Sneezing" This condition is caused by restricted idle circuit. You need to pull the carbs and clean very well and install kits.
