1986 Suzuki DT200 2-stroke 6 cyl on a 21' Stratus Bass Boat.

This year when I started it up, it continuously exhausts white smoke, maybe with a little blue tint, but primarily white. Not a little, a LOT, and continuously. I let it run for 10 minutes, and it is continuous. I've read white smoke is combusted water, and the spark plugs should be steam cleaned' in the process. Not the case; plugs black and a bit oily. Pic below.

The fuel is last years; I added a stabilizer over when I winterized it. I changed the fuel/water deparator/filter; its been quite a while.

When it is cold, it does not like to start. When it is warm, it starts right off.

1) Any idea what's the smoke from? oil? water?

2) Will some spray carb cleaner make it easier to start?

3) Last time I checked the trim fluid, I got a blast in the face. Should the motor be all the way up, or all the way down when you add/check fluid? I've read both. I don't have a User Manual.

4) The boat has 2 U-bolts on the back, approximately 2 feet left and right of the motor. Can the boat be hoisted from these bolts?

I've read this site for years, and have learned a lot from it. I appreciate your experience, and willingness to help.

Last years fuel?
how old was it when you resided to add a stabilizer?
need to add it when fuel is fresh to make it stay fresh.

Spraying carb cleaner at carb does not clean the passages and jets on the inside . pull and clean properly.
Lift boat with straps under hull.

Raise and lock , release pressure on rams and then open fill

I'll toss in my 2 cents.. my experience with burning water vs oil - water vapor will dissipate rapidly as oil smoke will linger. (I cannot view the pictures) are you running it on the muffs or is the foot in water?

I would think head gasket leaking.
But, I would expect at least 1 plug to look clean, from burning the water.
I had to replace the head gasket on a 25 Yamaha, I bought, and discovered, they have a replaceable zinc, in the water jacket, onder the head gasket. It was 90% gone.
Good luck with it.
Post your results.
