Lots of Sputter but no pee/telltale

Hi:

My engine runs strong and has lots of water sputtering out of the port on the back but doesn't pee... when i first fire it up I can see exhaust gas coming out the pee hole and then a couple drips but then nothing...

I ran a piece of weedwacker string down to see if it was clogged but that didn't help.... it's like this on the muffs, in the water, & in a trashcan...

I replaced the impeller when I stored it for the winter two years ago and didn't get a chance to use it last year so the engine sat. Minimal hours on it.

Sounds like the impeller to me. If it sits and doesn`t get used sometimes that`s worse. It will dry rot. I change my impeller once a year on my motor. Impeller`s are cheap I`d start with that.
