my lower units, they are not taking in oil in hte crank cases yet there is a minute amount dripping out of the front pee hole. I did try and fill from the top before i filled from the bottom what is wrong? also my engine wont rev under load. they rev in neutral but not under load, any ideas? that is why i am rebuilding the carbs. Timing is good
also i am guaging repowering this boat with V8's and upgraded drives, should i keep the inline 6's or go with the V8's or even V6's that push a bit more horses so the boat goes faster? what would be involved with the transom? would the new engine fit right on?
could i just sell these engines and slap some outboardds on what is the advantage to outboard vs I/O?
