lost reed in 200 h.p. yamaha

I had fuel blowing out one carb. what I found was I thought a bent reed but when I took it apart the reed was broke off and completely missing. Where would it go and how much damage could it do. The motor still runs as we came home on it. It does not want to idle in gear but it does rev. up a little

OUCH!! not good the reed valve that was sucked in can cause a lot of damage!! pull all plugs and look for aluminum deposits on them and would be a good thing to pull the heads and have a look at the bores for signs of scoring,you will probaly have to pull the power head off and dissasemble it as like i said broken reeds can cause a lot of damage inside.....good luck and hope its not too bad,let us know what you find
