Re: Lost key

You could check with an authorized Mercury dealer OR replace the entire ignition switch with another switch... JMHO!

Re: Lost key

A Merc Dealer should be able to get a key for the switch. I believe that Merc only used less than 6 keys for the control switch's.

Here should be your Merc OEM Ignition Key part # 30431126, KEY @2 (MARKED 126)

Googled the number for you to pick a place to order it from online or walk into a local dealer and have them order you one up.

If anyone is interested, If the key numbers are provided like it is here then for future help of how to find what key is needed, here is the bulletin to help out with that.

Re: Lost key

Where did you find those numbers that tell which key to get? I see that you said 'off the switch' but I can't seem to find them on mine and I am without a key as well for my Mercury 900 Outboard. Are those numbers on the outboard or on the MerControl unit? Any help would be great. I am not trying to hijack the thread but I found what Fun Times posted very useful and obviously the OP found the numbers. Thanks.

Re: Lost key

Nevermind, took apart the MerControl Unit and found the number as clear as can be.
