yesterday me and my cousin went fishing.
we had absolutely no luck.
we use a local boat ramp out in the country, which has a lil country bar about a mile or 2 before you get to the ramp.
while on the way out i noticed a truck and boat parked in front of the bar. turns out it was my wifes cousin. so i whip it in the parking lot.
after i go inside to see how well they did we go back outside to look at his boat since he asked me if i could fix it the day before....eng troubles.
we talked for a few minutes and his wife called and he had to go.
as we were looking at his boat i had asked him where his transom straps were and he informed me he wasnt going very far and didnt need them.
as he pulls out of the bar he shoots the gas to it and the boat immediately starts to slide off.
there were some other bar patrons who had come outside to see if we had caught anything during the few minutes we were there ...so there were about 6 people yelling at him to stop. but since his pipes were a lil loud he herd nothing.
we all ran out to the road to see how far he would drag it......
he went about 30-35yds
..........as i got to the road i noticed the smell of melted fiberglass. only a few of us noticed the smell.....i figure the reason not everyone could smell it was because of all the alcohol floating around in the air ![Roll eyes  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
apparently he had forgotten to set the anti-reverse lever on the winch![Roll eyes  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
about 4 of us got behind the boat, 1 on each side to steady the boat, and my cousin grabbed the winch.
we got it back on the trailer and he crawled up underneath it to check the damage. he said it was only a small hole and it didnt look that bad......i told him we could fix it no prob.
after he crawled out he decided it wasnt leaking water so it wasnt all the way through the hull............he then pulled the bilge plug and water ran out...............lucky i say.
he only had minor damage to the skeg since the eng was tilted all the way up.
although i didnt look at the bottom of the boat i will get the chance as its supposed to be here anyday for repairs![Big grin :D :D](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
