I have a 120 Evinrude '94 Model. The other day I had all kinds of power comming out of the hole, got to where I was going and idled around for 30 minutes. Then when I tried to take off again all the power was gone, even on top end it's not as fast as it should be. The only thing I can think of is I had mixed more oil in that normal. I ran that tank near empty and started over, but I'm getting the same thing. Yesterday I replaced the spark plugs and fuel filter, but I would like to hear what you all have to say before I take it in somewhere. Thanks.

Re: Loss of power in the hole shot.

sounds like you dont realy need any advice, you pronanly fixed it. You may want to clean the carbs just for good measure. there probably ok but i would clean them as well to be absolutly sure that i got everything back to normal. Take it to the lake and go like hell. if it acts up again there are other things that you can do to find the problem, but i am confident that you nailed it.
