I got my lower unit put back together and fixed clutch dog that was slipping and went out yesterday.

After 20 minutes at full speed, the motor starts choking down but still runs enought to get me back. I found I could close the choke some to get a little more power.

After cooling off at landing I went back out and it ran good for about 1/2 hour then started again.

How can I run down if my problem is fuel or fire?

without grabing plug wires as I go down the river?

Thanks in advance,

Re: Loss of power envirude 1974 25 hp,

Take a spray bottle of fuel mix with you.

When the engine starts losing power, squeeze your primer bulb. If that gets her up you have a fuel supply problem, probably restricted venting of the tank.

If the primer bulb doesn't help, spray fuel mix directly into the carb. If that gets her up you have a carb problem.

If neither helps you have an overheat problem. Replace the water pump impeller and check all lines from the water pump to the block.

Good luck. :)
