losing prime

I have a 96, 40 hp Johnson,after 15 or so min, of running wide open, it will bog down or die. I have to pump the bulb to get gas flowing again, I replaced the fuel line, fittings and tank, where do I go from here?

Is the tank venting? I know I have forgotten to open the vent on several occasions and always remember once the engine dies.

yes, the tank is vented.
