Losing prime ,pulse limiter??

Great forum have learned alot. Appreciate any help '89 110 motor cuts out bulb goes soft runs great if u keep priming. New omc bulb all connections tight took pulse limiter fitting out (blue) looked clean, cleaned it anyway. Is it supposed to be a check valve? U can blow either direction. Not sure what is next, fuel pump, kit, replace?? Recently disconnected VRO. Thanks for your help...

The bulb will go soft when you're running because the fuel is just flowing through it but it shouldn't suck in. I think I'd put a kit in the fuel pump. Those diaphragm get all stretched and baggy, after several years, and won't pump.<br /><br />c/6<br />Hooty

Hooty thanks for your help, went to install new diaprahm old one was not screwed in had back out, so far with muffs on no problem. Maybe my son and I will finally go fishing.
