We are going to need more details than that!
What model?
What conditions?
When did it start?

Welcome to iboats!:welcome:

It sounds like a problem with communication between the head unit and the transducer, or a bad transducer. Start by checking the connectors and the cable.

Trailer Boat?
If you get the same reading out of the water, the display can not see the Transducer.
If you put your hand ON the bottom of the Transducer,
You should be able to feel the "Pings" in your hand. (Tick,Tick!)
If Not, the Head is either not generating pulses, the pulses are not getting to the Transducer,
or the Transducer is Dead. If it is "Ticking", The problem is more likely a bad receiver in the head unit.

Are you sure the transducer is connected to the head? Inspect and Re-Seat the connector!
Has the cable been damaged? Look and FEEL it carefully.

All of this is academic, because all we can really say is what you already know, "It doesn't work!"
If it isn't a wiring issue, replacement or factory repair are the only solutions.
It is a high end unit, unfortunately it is also a discontinued unit. :grumpy:

He said transducer in hull. I really know nothing about these except what I've read on these pages over the years, but based on that, it could be a bad seal from the transducer to the hull. My take from those readings is that through-hull transducer is a tricky business and seal is critical.

... Transducer in hull...

Is the transducer In the Hull, as in,
it is epoxied to the inside of the hull and shooting "Through" the Fiberglass?

Or... Is it mounted Through the Hull, as in ,
there is a hole in the hull and the Transducer is mounted through the hole but is actually on the outside of the hull?
