loose windshield

hi everyone i have a bowrider and it has the tipical bowrider windshield.while i was on my vacation my windshield lost a screw and some of the windshield fell apart.i put in a new screw but it backed out again. the screw that fell out is the 1 that the glass in place not the 1s that hold it to the boat. any ideas how to keep the windshield together long term. also the window that closes is not closing properly. what is the best way to realign everything ? thanks to anyone who has advise

Not exactly sure I understand, on both boats that I've rebuilt the glass wasn't held into the frames with a screw. Post a photo of that one, it would help.

Generally, if you have hardware coming loose use either self locking nuts or else a thread-locker like Loctite.

As far as the window not closing properly that sounds like just a matter of loosening the mounting nuts, getting everything aligned, and re-tightening. (Well, it's easy in theory. In practice it could be a pain in the butt depending on how hard it is to gain access to the hardware).

Put a small amount of goop or 3m4000 on the screws to hold them.

In the off season I would take it apart and do all the screws.

You've probably got bigger problems then. An improperly aligned windshield is indicative of your helm bulkheads sagging. That is usually precipitated by a flexing hull.
