loose handle bars on kawa 300 sx

Picked up a 1987 300 sx and the bars are loose (up and down) anyway to fix this? The castle nut is tight. Thanks

it is a sub plate
look at the 6 bolts on the outside on the pole

I am not quite sure where you are talking about. Do you mean under chin pad? Sorry this is my first ski and I have had it 2 days.

should have 6 bolts on the out side of pole

I just looked at it and on the other side of pole is the pad. On the bottom of the pole is the only place I see any hardware. I will get a pic posted tommorow if it helps. Also I appreciate the help. I have owned boats but this is my first ski.
By pole you mean the part where the bars are connected correct? And has the vinyl pad on top.
