I have a Rinker Captiva 209 open bow and the bow cleat is loose. I have looked in all storage compartments and behind the seats in the front and no access to the cleat. It is still bolted on, but its very loose. What are my options???

Thanks

Re: Loose Cleat Problem

Welcome to Iboats, pdrewes. I am not familiar with that particular boat, but suspect that if you go in the forward cabin and don't see the under side of the deck, then your boat has a liner in it and the nuts are behind the liner. Or the cleat is put on with screws which you need to replace with bolts and a good backing plate. If you have a liner, I would cut a hole in the liner with a 4 inch hole saw and then you will have access to the under side of the deck.. then you can properly install the cleat with bolts and a backing plate. the get a 4 inch inspection cover and install it in the liner.. good luck
