Looking to buy a Merc 90HP

So I am looking around for a 90HP or so Merc Outboard. I found one with all the controls, etc for a reasonable price. How can I tell if the oil IS getting injected. It has the resovour on top and seems filled up but?.. how can I tell if it is injecting?

Pull the spark plugs (to relieve pressure for the following test) and pull the hose off the union where the output of the oil pup feeds into the fuel line coming from outside the engine.....a plastic Y fitting. Spin the engine with the starter and if it is pumping, oil will come out of the hose from the oil pump. As soon as you see it put it back to reduce the possibilities of getting air bubbles in the oil line.

That's how I would do it.
