remove your helm and cable.

buy tilt helm and cable

teleflex no longer exists in the marine world. they sold off the cable division. see SeaStar.

I have a 2002 Crestliner 1750 Fish Hawk dual console and I had their OEM steering. I don't remember a lot about the tilt purchase other than buying the rotary (vs rack and pinion) that was in my boat already.

I don't recall where I bought mine or any show stoppers.....never did something like that before. It sure is nice since it extends the wheel out a couple of inches or so making the wheel closer to my body and by tilting I can slide in the seat without my legs getting caught between the seat and wheel....wheel mounting was too low for seat height......which tilt solved. I guess the kit contained enough directions for a novice to do it first time as I did.
