Looking for string of flashers from the 60's

When I would go fishing with my parents we used a string of flashers (some called them cow bells) that if I remember right they were Etta Kuetts Special. They were approximately 40 to 48 inches long, had the rudder blade, and 5 graduating down in size spinner blades. They were strung on solid wire with the orange beads on top and bottom of each blade. They were silver or chrome. They would be dated sometime around the early to mid 60's

If anyone knows of some of these, let me know.

Yah...there were several manufacturers of those trolling rigs. I don't think the one you're looking for is still around. Check ebay and you might find one, eventually.

If you're not looking for exactly that item, you'll no doubt find something like it. We used to use what were called Ford Fenders in a similar way. I don't remember who made them.

Those things are still made, actually.

Luhr-Jensen still makes them. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/t...841303&cm_ite=0011729110979a&_requestid=28412

Google trolling cowbells, and you'll find others.

Another name for them is "Gang Trolls" we used them for Lake Trout and ran a spoon behind a bit to resemble a wounded follower.

A search on Ebay on "cowbells" will turn up similar to what you are looking for. That's where I've gotten mine

I am taking it that you would like to duplicate the item you remember as a child... not merely trying to locate a flasher or trolling attractor.

The antique lure hobby has a lot of avid and helpful participants with a lot of knowledge. I would suggest a quick search for "antique fishing tackle" and contact the owner of one of the sites which identifies a huge variety of old lures. Phone them up- talk about it and you might be able to find a collector who has the item you are looking for.

I got my cowbells at Gander Mountain and I have used them succesfully for football tuna on Stellwagen bank.
