Looking for some Feedback

I am looking at buying a used boat. It is a 92 model Javelin, 19 foot fish and ski with a 150hp Evinrude. Owner says it has less than 100 hours on it and has never had any problems with the motor. Obviously this boat has did alot of setting up, but he says it will crank up on the first try and runs good. I know there were some years that Evinrude had some problems and was looking for some feedback on this. Thanks.

Sounds fishy........ that is only 100 hrs during a 18 yr period????????????

1992 was a good year and it is equipped with VRO. Do a water test, compression test and a detailed inspection of the boat and motor.

BTW..... please only post your question's once and not in multiple area's.

I've had years where it felt like I got barely 5 hours in my boat.

I've been there, too. Quite often I'll be on the water, but not using the motor all that much. We can spend a day on our lake swimming and such, and easily put less than an hour on the motor.
Then there are other times, when the motor runs for hours at a time.
Any used purchase is somewhat of a gamble- you never know sometimes what you'll get into- so do your best to research.
