I am going to look at a 2020 Triton 220 LTS Saturday. Looks like a nice boat with good electronics. I don't see a lot of these boats for sale and noticed that Triton doesn't make them anymore. Does anyone know if there is a problem with them or how they handle? Asking price is $70,000. Thank you for any help.

I have no personal knowledge of a Triton boat, but here is what I can tell you. Earl Bentz, who let Stratos boats in 1996 to start Triton Boats, was a pretty innovative guy! He remained the CEO through several sales of the company, lastly to Bass Pro Shops in 2018 when Bentz retired from Triton to start Cayman Boats. Bentz was a stickler for quality and performance. Over all, Triton are good boats and since 1997 have been made with no wood in the hull or the transom, eliminating the worry of rot. They seem to really hold their resale value better than most other boats.
