Looking for raw water pump replcement

I own a 2000 4.3 gi pefs. The raw water pump fail again. I need to know if there any mod to put a low cost water pump? Can i use a electric one? Or any other pump?

Maybe the question should be Why did the pump fail AGAIN? Are you running the boat out of water with no hose on it? If you're running on the hose do you have enough water getting to the muffs? Are your water pick ups plugged? Are you running in skinny water and your pick ups are getting plugged from sand, mud, weeds, etc? You should easily be able to get 2+ years out of an impeller.

Sorry, no other pump, no electric one either.

Ayuh,... Ditto that,.... Those pumps are reasonably durable, so long as ya feed 'em water....

Do you ever run the engine without water going to it...even for a few seconds?

You are using muffs right...not using the outrive in a bucket method?

How do you know its failing? What is happening?

it has a broken bearing and stud base damage.
Im looking for other type of pump to replace this high cost one.

It's a high cost one because it lasts a long time without trouble. you must have a block somewhere or you gliding over the water instead of in it. The bottom line is that installed properly and all connections tight it should work without a problem.
